Mazda3 Convoy Completes 9,300-mile Journey without a Hitch

If you're a follower of Towne Mazda's blog, you may recall a post last month where we informed readers in the Burlingame, CA area that the Mazda Route3-Hiroshima to Frankfurt Challenger Tour 2013" was about to begin. Now, the 9,300-mile trek made by several new Mazda3 models has come to end, wit them arriving at Mazda's European R &D Centre just in time for the 2013 Frankfurt Auto Show.

The Mazda3 convoy began their journey in Japan and then successfully traveled across two continents, five countries and 30 cities without a hitch. However, that's not to say that the Mazada3's didn't encounter their fair share of obstacles along the way like road work, traffic, pot holes and inclement weather.

Jeremy Thomson, Managing Director of Mazda UK, says of the vehicle's performance on the trip, "The all-new Mazda3 hatchback test cars, powered by a 120ps SKYACTIV-G petrol engine mated to a six-speed SKYACTIV-MTĀ® manual transmission, were such a joy to drive and at the same time so tough and so reliable, even when conditions were worse than anyone expected.  They took everything Eurasia could throw at them."1To put it simply, the new Mazda3 is up to tackle any challenge.

When the Mazda3 finally reached Frankfurt, Germany, it was showcased to auto enthusiasts who were not only pleased with its recent accomplishment but also admired its refreshed style and state-of-the-art features.
