Mazda On-Track to Finish Year to Notable Gain Thanks to November Sales

It is now December, which means we are about to close out the year here at Towne Mazda and what a year it has been for our favorite Japanese automaker. The Mazda brand has been especially busy in 2013 with the debut of new and redesigned models, which have been positively received by the public, as shown by the most recent sales figures.

November was quite successful for the brand as they closed the month out to the sales of 20,754 new Mazda models in the U.S. This brings the brand's year-to-date totals up to an impressive 260,983 units sold, which reflects an impressive gain of 4.3 percent year-over-year.

As for which models attributed to this notable, the Mazda6 was extremely popular with American drivers as proved by the sales of 3,641 units. This not only marked a massive gain of 202.4 percent over November of 2012 for the model, but was also the sedan's best November in two years.

The Mazda CX-5 also proved its popularity with sales peaking at 6,323 models, reflecting a year-over-year increase of 50.1 percent. This is the crossover's best November ever since its launch in February of last year.

What makes Mazda models so popular with drivers? A huge contributing factor is the innovative and fuel-efficient SKYACTIV TECHNOLOGY┬« that is found on the majority of Mazda models.  In fact, 81 percent of the brand's total sales in November were models that are equipped with SKYACTIV TECHNOLOGY┬«.
